Currently teaching Professional Communication in the Moore School, Barbara is also pursuing a doctoral degree in the USC Department of English.

Dr. Katrice Malcom Branner

Small Business Katrice Branner is a clinical assistant professor at the Darla Moore School of Business. Prior to joining academia, Katrice spent over 20 years in industry as the president of a small business consulting firm, a Senior Vice President at Bank of America, and as a chemical engineer at The Dow Chemical Company. Her research focus areas are small business and entrepreneurship. She earned her doctorate from UNC Charlotte, her MBA from Vanderbilt, and her BS in ChE from the University of Tennessee.
Susan Brinson joined the Moore School as an accounting lecturer in fall 2018. She received her bachelor's in business administration and Master of Accountancy degrees from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining the School of Accounting, she served as an adjunct instructor at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte. She has also worked in public accounting and for a major financial institution.

Jessica Hedrich Brown

Allison Byxbe teaches Professional Communication for the Darla Moore School of Business. Previously she taught for the University of South Carolina's First Year English program, and she also taught business and technical writing courses for the English department. Her recent research, funded in part by a National Science Foundation grant, examines the relationship between learning technical writing skills and learning content material in the area of nanotechnology.

Julian Dalzell

Human Resources Mr. Dalzell began his career in line assignments in the UK in 1968 and moved into Labor Relations on a full time basis in 1975. Mr. Dalzell was appointed to his final role in January 2010 when he held and accountability for HR Operations for all Shell's businesses in the US. He retired at the end of 2010 and joined the Faculty of the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina in January 2011, where he teaches HR in the Global Firm at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Accounting, Fraud and forensics, Ethical decision-making Brent Daulton earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Newberry College and his master's degree in accounting from Florida Atlantic University. He is also a certified fraud examiner. He joined the Darla Moore School of Business in the fall of 2016 to teach managerial and cost accounting. Daulton's primary area of interest is in behavioral accounting, including fraud and forensics as well as issues surrounding ethical decision-making.

Commercial law, Accounting Tom Hughes has been a lecturer with the School of Accounting for the past 25 years. During this time, he has primarily taught the commercial law courses in the Darla Moore School of Business. He also teaches five courses a year with the Honors College. He has led student trips to England, Turkey and Greece. He has won seven Mortar Board awards, the Alfred G. Smith award and was named by the Princeton Review as one of "The Best 300 Professors in the United States" in 2012.

Rasso gained over 15 years of teaching experience from such institutions as the College of Charleston, the University of South Florida, Georgia State University and Texas A&M University prior to joining the faculty of the University of South Carolina in 2016.

Outsourcing, Reshoring Keith Skowronski is an assistant professor of management science at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He holds doctoral and bachelor’s degrees from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree from the University of Akron. Prior to returning to academia, Skowronski worked for more than 10 years in manufacturing with recent roles in engineering and quality management. During his industry experience, he was also an inventor on two patents.

Dr. Brooke Winnfred Stanley

Brooke Stanley holds a Ph.D. in finance from Texas A&M University, an MBA in finance from the University of Cincinnati, and a BA in drama from Kenyon College. Her professional experience includes working for several large corporations such as the Limited, Inc. and Mercantile Stores Co., and as a financial analyst for a privately held publishing company. Stanley’s research interests include corporate governance, managerial compensation, agency problems and financial institutions.

Dr. Chad Matthew Stefaniak

Accounting, Auditing Stefaniak joined the faculty of the University of South Carolina in the fall of 2016. His teaching interests and experience include both auditing and accounting information systems. His research focuses on examining the judgments and decisions made by auditors, specifically improving audit quality, auditor ethics and auditor-client negotiations. He has published research manuscripts in various journals.

He considers himself to be a managerial accounting researcher who uses experiments and behavioral economics to provide insights on how to motivate and control employees.

Bethany D Tisdale

Bethany Dailey Tisdale currently teaches Professional Communication and has previously taught courses in the departments of English and Women’s and Gender Studies. Dr. Tisdale also has years of experience as a writing consultant and served as Assistant Director of the University Writing Center. In addition to her work at U of SC, Dr. Tisdale takes her communication skills into the community as a Speakers Bureau volunteer for Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands.

Verma joins the Moore School from VinUniversity in Hanoi, Vietnam, where he serves as the founding provost of Vietnam’s first private, not-for-profit university based on international standards. Verma is also a professor of operations, technology and information management at Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business. Prior to his role at VinUniversity, he served as dean of external affairs at Cornell’s SC Johnson College of Business.

His current research focuses on initial public offerings (IPOs), investment banking, and analysts. Dr. Zhang teaches investments and corporate finance at the undergraduate and masters levels and an introduction to financial theory for Ph.D. students.

Chen Zhou
