Dr. Scott Samuel Roeder

He previously received a Ph.D. in marketing from UC Berkeley (2016) before completing postdoctoral work at the Olin Business School, Washington University, in St. Louis. He also holds an M.S. (marketing) from UC Berkeley and a B.S. (Hons) in psychology from the University of British Columbia. Previous to his academic career, he worked in sales (consumer electronics) & moonlit as a web developer

She has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1990, after earning a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

George Smith

Business George Smith, Ph.D. is the Department Chair/Professor in the Department of Business Administration, University of SC Beaufort. He received his PhD in Public Administration at the Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University of Albany (SUNY). He earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Brigham Young’s Marriott School of Management and a BS degree in Sociology. He joined the USCB faculty in 2015.

In his instruction, he seeks to tie business theory to the actual application in the business world. Dr. Swift works closely with the career center in providing students with career management mentoring and planning. In addition to his instruction, he administers the NOW Business Degree Plan and provides course advisement to all NOW business plan students.
