Kaminski, Robert John

Dr. Kaminski has conducted research on a variety of policing issues, including police use of force, assaults and murders of police, less-lethal technology, foot pursuits, training, and public perceptions of police. Recent research includes the impact of conducted energy devices (e.g., TASERS) and other uses of force on officer and suspect injuries, the effects of the Va.Tech & Northern Illinois University shootings on student fear of crime on campus, and correlates of inmate self-injury.
