Emily Manetta is a Professor and Director of Linguistics Program in the Department of English Language and Literature; Linguistics Program,College of Arts and Sciences. She earned a PhD in Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2006 and a BA in Linguistics, Islamic Studies from Swarthmore College in 2000.
