Bolander, Jr., Franklyn F.

Dr. Bolander's primary research interests involve the molecular mechanisms of prolactin action and its regulation of growth and differentiation. His model system is the mouse mammary gland. Previous research projects have included the regulation of hormone receptors, other second messengers, transcription and translation of both milk proteins and the mouse mammary tumor virus, hormonally induced modification of chromatin proteins, and characterization of epithelial cell-MMTV interactions.
