Research Professor

Jay Gaillard's primary interest is the study and application of nanotechnology to the nuclear and energy industry. His interests include synthesis, characterization, and application of nanomaterials (e.g., nanotubes, semiconducting nanowires, graphene and graphene nanoribbons) for next generation composites (e.g., improvement of electrical, thermal and mechanical properties of polymers and other structural components), spectroscopy (e.g., Raman, FTIR, UV-Vis), energy storage.
