Dr. Absher's training includes a BS with Honors from Radford University (Chemistry and Biology), an MD from Virginia Commonwealth University, internship at the University of Maryland, neurology residency at the University of Iowa, and neurobehavior fellowship at UCLA. As Assistant Professor of Neurology at Wake Forest University, he completed a career development award (GCRC-CAP), gained subspecialty certifications in neurosonology and neuroimaging (MRI and CT).
