Warren, Karen

Research Assistant Professor

My primary research focuses on the multiple determinants of health that impact preterm infants and their mothers, with the goal of reducing disparities in maternal and infant outcomes. I also have secondary research interests in the early detection of autism. My work is particularly centered on the state of South Carolina, where rates of maternal and infant mortality and morbidity exceed national averages, and where racial and ethnic health inequities remain a critical concern.
