Dr. William (John) Thrasher III, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computational Science. Dr. Thrasher recently completed his PhD in Computer Science at Florida State University, where his dissertation research largely focused on random walk-based Monte Carlo methods including applications to solutions of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation, which is widely used in materials science and engineering.
