Assistant Professor

Dr. Schnell’s research examines the effectiveness of policing strategies to reduce crime and enhance perceptions of police legitimacy in urban communities. The primary objective of this research is to improve policies and practices in police agencies for them to better serve and protect their respective communities. In addition, he studies the methodology applied to understand where crimes occur within cities.
