Dr. Maydeu-Olivares applies and develops innovative quantitative methods to a variety of areas: clinical/personality psychology, personnel selection, and marketing. A former President of the Psychometric Society, and Editor of Psychometrika, his most recent work focuses on developing new methods for a) structural equation modeling, b) personnel and educational assessment using item response theory, c) remove common method bias in survey data, d) causal inference.
