Richard L. Hodinka, PhD is a Professor of Microbiology and Chair of the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Campus - Greenville. His clinical and research interests involve clinical microbiology, viral diseases, laboratory medicine, detection and monitoring of viral infections in children and adults, particularly immunocompromised hosts, and the development and study of rapid and accurate methods for the diagnosis of infectious diseases.
