Dr. Bell's research program intersects the fields of GIScience, social epidemiology, and injury epidemiology. His current research focuses on the measurement of functional outcomes and quality of life after major trauma, exploring frameworks for classifying outcomes of trauma care and the design and application of GIS-based tools for health services studies relevant to injury.
