Dr. Holland's current research interests include cerebral lateralization of phoneme detection, motor function, and emotional processing as a function of stress in high and low hostile individuals, lateralized differences in cerebral activation as a function of digestive stress, neuroanatomical correlates of behavior in younger and older adults, neuropsychology of aging, and the prevalence and progression of persistent pain in older adults
