Clinical Associate Professor
With more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry, Dr. Guimaraes’ interests include HIV, STIs and teen pregnancy prevention, as well as the utilization of community health care workers in marginalized and high risk communities. Dr. Guimaraes' work has a particular focus on newly immigrated, limited English-proficient Latinos in South Carolina. In the Arnold School, she teaches a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and online graduate courses.
