A specialist in British literature and nature writing, Dr. Bellanca has published a book entitled Daybooks of Discovery: Nature Diaries in Britain, 1770-1870 (University of Virginia Press, 2007). Among her other publications are articles on the journals of Gerard Manley Hopkins and George Eliot and the poetry of Alexander Pope and Anna Barbauld. She is also the author of a book and article about the beginning of rural electric service in Pennsylvania.
