Dr. Burgis joined the faculty of the University of South Carolina Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2004. Prior to her USC appointment, she was in private practice in Columbia, SC, for eleven years. Dr. Burgis was named Interim Chair of the USC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2010 and Chair of the Department in October 2011
