Professor
Peter Binev is a Professor in Mathematics and received his Ph. D. degree from University of Sofia, Bulgaria with a dissertation in spline approximation. Dr. Binev joined the Industrial Mathematics Institute at the University of South Carolina in 2000. His main research interests are in the areas of Nonlinear Approximation Theory, Numerical Methods for PDEs, Surface and Image Processing, Learning Theory, and Multiresolution Analysis.
