Dr. Imran's area of specialization is water resources engineering. His major research interests are interdisciplinary in nature and involve application of fluid mechanics to study flow processes of both engineering and geophysical significance. Dr. Imran and his research team pursue basic and applied research in the fields of river mechanics, sediment transport, density and turbidity current, mass gravity flow, and stratified flow.
