Dr. Mo Chen

Assistant Professor

Media psychology, Human-Machine Communication, VR and video game studies I examine how people perceive and interact with technologies such as social robots, virtual assistants, and computer agents, and how virtual and augmented reality are utilized to navigate spaces and sustain social connections. Additionally, I investigate the psychological and social effects of emerging communication technologies, focusing on their impact on user experience, ethical considerations, cognitive processing, well-being, trust, and their roles in shaping persuasion and misinformation.

Dr. David Lamar Morris

Associate Professor

Visual Communication, Technology, Media Psychology, Audience Analysis, Esports, Pop Culture, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Science Communication, Climate Change Dr. David L. Morris II is an Assistant Professor in the Communication Department at UofSC Aiken. Dr. Morris’s research is at the intersection of Visual Communication, Science Communication and Technology. More specifically, Dr. Morris’s research explores the relationship between psychographics and climate change imagery using psychophysiological measurements, the use of which was the focus of his dissertation.

Jason Munsell

Rhetorical analysis of discourses of higher education, disciplinary history, political rhetoric, New pedagogical technologies, including the art and craft of “sweding” films Dr. Munsell was born ready to teach. Originally from Oklahoma, Dr. Munsell received his Kindergarten Degree in 1977. He went on to complete his high school diploma at Tahlequah High School, Oklahoma in 1989. Following in his father’s footsteps, Dr. Munsell pretty much always thought he’d end up being a professor, but he experimented a bit in college at the University of Arkansas; with a business major.

Elizabeth Webb

Senior Instructor

Health Communication, with a focus on intersectionality and health campaigns, Intercultural Communication, Gender Communication Ms. Elizabeth M. Webb received her BA in Sociology and Speech Communication from Thomas More College and her MA in Communication from the University of Kentucky. Elizabeth has professional experience in health communication, including two years as a Visiting Research Associate at the Kinsey Institute and the Rural Center for AIDS Prevention.
