Dr. Mark Michael Macauda, PhD, MPH

Research Assistant Professor

works with the Core for Applied Research and Evaluation, assesses implementation and impact of public health programs with state agencies & community orgs, expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods in applied research settings Dr. Macauda is a Medical Anthropologist who works with the Core for Applied Research and Evaluation. He primarily works with state agencies and community organizations, assessing the implementation and impact of public health programs. Dr. Macauda has expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods in applied research settings; as well as a background in adolescent reproductive health and vector-borne disease prevention.

Community-engaged research and evaluation, Implementation science, Maternal and child health My work focuses on the use of community-engaged research and evaluation techniques to promote community health development, systems transformation, and health equity. Some of my current work is focused on evaluating maternal and child health home visiting programs and community-based collaboratives to support vulnerable children and their families.
