Secondary Math, development of conceptual understanding in pre-service and in-service teachers, integration of technology in the 6 – 12 mathematics classroom Dr. Stephen Bismarck holds a B.S. in applied mathematics and a M.A.T with emphasis in mathematics education from Coastal Carolina University and a Ph.D. in mathematics education from the University of Georgia. Before entering higher education, Dr. Bismarck taught high school mathematics at Clarke Central High School (Athens, GA) and middle school mathematics at Silver Sands Middle School (Port Orange, FL).

Early Childhood Education, technology effectively in the early childhood classroom, enhancing teacher dispositions among preservice teachers Dr. Stacy Burr graduated from Furman University and began her teaching career in public school. She earned a master’s in education from the University of South Carolina Upstate and then a Ph.D. from USC Columbia. She has more than 20 years of experience in education, and currently teaches in the School of Education on the Greenville Campus. Her research interests include using technology effectively in the early childhood classroom and enhancing teacher dispositions among preservice teachers.
Elementary Education, Bullying, Higher Ed. Teacher Candidates, Literature, Literacy Dr. Freeman is an expert in the field of elementary education and leadership. She is especially knowledgeable in the areas of literacy and bullying. Her publications and presentations are in the areas of brain research, bullying, children’s literacy and literature, and teacher candidate preparation.

Mrs. Kela Ann Goodman

Early Childhood Education, culturally relevant pedagogy, culturally valid assessments and multilingual contexts for language learning Dr. Kela Goodman earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education from the College of Charleston, a master’s in curriculum and instruction from The Citadel, and a doctorate of philosophy in language and literacy from the University of South Carolina. She has 24+ years of experience as an early childhood and elementary teacher, literacy coach, master teacher/evaluator, and assistant professor.
