Dr. Shelley AJ Jones

British Literature, South Carolina Studies Shelley AJ Jones’ research investigates revision, genre theory, and periodical culture, with a particular emphasis on how popular forms widened access to literature. This emphasis on access made possible by new technology informs her teaching interests as well: creating collaborative environments and communities for distant and online learners.

Christopher L. Nesmith

Nineteenth century American literature and travel writing, Children's and young adult literature, Digital humanities I am currently working on projects that deal with nineteenth and early twentieth century travel writing for children and the construction of national identity. I am also interested in online learning and incorporating technology into the classroom to improve student learning.

Matthew A. Rashotte

Associate Professor

My research interests started at Florida State University by participating in a program of study on the psychology of expert performance. At USC my research focus turned to the study of spatial way-finding behavior in humans. I am currently developing a program of research in the psychology of music.
