This session will present a follow up to last year’s retreat where we first rolled out the plan for USC to become a more focused research university…we are doing this by identifying, evaluating and eventually funding several core priorities where we are poised to become nationally recognized…and which would lead us to significant increases in external funding from the federal govt and in collaboration with industrial partners.
Our panelists include Russ Pate, co-chair of our BRI; he will speak to us about the process we are using to steer our progress in one of our target areas….
Prof Borg and Markwald who represent one of our very great hopes for success, they also symbolize the importance of our increasingly active relationship with the Med U.
And in that vein, we’ll hear from our provost who will update us on the steps being taken to formalize our partnership with MUSC as a means of making it easier for researchers to collaborate and also to bring new excellence to our educational and outreach activities.
